VIVACOM is a sponsor of the Bulgarian printed media Chernorizets Hrabar journalism awards that are organised annually by the Union of Publishers in Bulgaria. All publishing houses have the right to participate in the competition regardless of whether they are members of the Union, as well as individual authors who can participate with their own materials. The competition programme consists of 9 categories, in which the winners are selected by the Chernorizets Hrabar Academy: journalism investigation, political journalist or commentator, reporter (for discovering and professionally presenting news or a report), business and financial journalist, sports journalist, culture and lifestyle journalist, photojournalist, regional media journalist, young journalist. The Managing Board of the Union of Publishers in Bulgaria bestows also its Grand Prix for contribution to the Bulgarian journalism and a Special Prize for important social contribution by a media.

In 2010 the Union of Publishers in Bulgaria celebrated the 10^th anniversary of its establishment and the 7^th edition of the Chernorizets Hrabar journalism award competition and it bestowed the awards at an official ceremony on the day of free speech - 10 November.
